TG Advocate Motivation?

As yours truly continues her losing battle vs. one of the coldest winters known to humanity, I decided to spent the early hours today watching some very interesting YouTube videos about how transgendered people like myself are represented in the media. The It Gets Better program ( www.itgetsbetter.org ) had a few videos via Google explaining the situation. One of those people I have followed is MMA fighter Fallon Fox, who had a link to this conference on her facebook page. Along side Ms. Fox was Kye Allums, a  transman who made his announcement while playing women's college basketball at George Washington University. I sent Fallon a message about the struggles that she has experienced in the rugged, no-holds barred world of MMA. OK, while it would be wonderful joy to meet TG people like these who have made a name for themselves face-to-face, I have realized that I have begun a strong interest in becoming an advocate for TransGender rights. There is this YouTube video I saw this

Does going through a(Polar) Vortex through HELL just to warm up my 'nads cause me to have a cold heart?

Here I am, shuddering over this ongoing Polar Vortex weather crap, which has made this winter one of the most unforgiving season in recent memory. Not since my childhood have I cuddled up under the sheets, sometimes with the help of a small heating pad, to keep my ass warm. The heater is a joke. If you were an inch away from it, you'd feel a little better now. All that's been going on in the news is the severe winter effects for most of the country. The southwest, not affected by the vortex, yet they have had some serious droughts with the warm weather. Can you say water shortages? Sunday, Feb 2 will not only be Super Bowl Sunday, but also Groundhog Day. That stupid groundhog Punxatawney Phil will take a minute in the chilly Pennsylvania air, then he'll say "the hell with this!" Six more weeks of this b.s. Only an idiot would think Bill Murray could suffer so much! (By the way, that movie is available on Crackle.com as I type this. Keep in mind 3/4 of the movie

Old Man Winter & Me

It's cold as hell outside right now. We are going through some of the harshest arctic air blasts in the last 20-plus years. Right now, it's probably -12 now. Feels a lot colder than that. The heater is not helping at all. Maybe I should be glad for the extra blanket that I have been saving for moments like this. Serves me right for not wearing socks to bed. My feet are feeling the cold breeze from somewhere in here. I remember seeing a picture of a fireman attempting to drink coffee in this weather. One problem: the cup of coffee grew icicles within minutes. That WAS cold. And it was from back home, too, while yours truly was a bit warmer in New Orleans at Dillard. I won't lie-it can get cold down on the bayou during the winter! The domitories did have heat when it was needed (there was a good number of us students from up north attending college at the time...especially from Chicago!). There was I,walking around the campus in shorts in 40-degree weather, trying to prove I
